| | Not receiving email notifications on conversations where I am mentioned
According to the Summer '11 Release, the application does the following:Emails are generated in the following specific cases: - For members who are specifically mentioned in the entry
I have not been able to get an email generated to me or anyone about a conversation created where I (or the other people that I tried with) am mentioned in the conversations.

Did you put the email address besides the `Share`button? It is to say: 1. Add the name (email address from your company) to the box besides 'Share' button 2. Once you have all the required names, then you click on 'Share' button. 3. After, whoever in that box you add the names to should receive an email notifications. If you do not add the name, then it will go to Product Owner and other managers based on your configuration at first. Hope that helps. | |

Hi Cecil, Check the following: 1. Your instance has been enabled to send email messages (see your local V1 administrator) 2. You have a valid email address associated with your login (Member details) 3. At the top of the VersionOne browser window, click on your UserName, then on Preferences, and make sure the box next to 'Send Conversations Emails' under Email Forwarding is checked. This should take care of it. Lee

Never mind. I figured out the problem. My company's email filter system, Postini, for some odd reason was letting some of the emails through but was blocking others. I feel like an idiot for not checking there first.

Lee,
Thanks for the response. The weird thing is I know we are configured to get emails because I get emails on alerts that go into my Inbox. I also get emails on conversations that I have participated in, but I don't get an email notice about conversations where I am mentioned.

I didn't put email address. I just put the name. The same is done by others when they mention me. I get email alerts when I have participated in a conversation and someone posts something, but I don't get alerts when I'm mentioned.
