V1 Menu The getting started community area provides you with all the information you need to quickly get up to speed with V1: Agile Enterprise. The primary navigation within VersionOne mirrors the Agile process flow, and includes five stages to planning and executing projects: Product Planning, Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Tracking, and Review. Our step-by-step guide follows this path as well and contains videos, simple explanations, and additional Agile guidance to lead you through an end-to-end VersionOne implementation.

go to product planning step-by-step

In Product Planning the team composes, estimates, and prioritizes Backlog Items. Feature groups, epics, goals, requests and issues can also be created to assist with managing projects.

go to release planning step-by-step

Once a product backlog exists, the product owner has the option of organizing these backlog items into one or more releases in Release Planning. Teams can also be setup to divide work among functional groups of team members.

go to sprint planning step-by-step

Within a release, backlog items are further organized into sprints. During Sprint Planning the team defines the acceptance tests and identifies all tasks for each backlog item in the sprint.

go to sprint tracking step-by-step

During the sprint, team members use Sprint Tracking to update progress and close backlog items once they have been accepted by the product owner.

go to review step-by-step

At the end of the sprint, the team uses Review to close the sprint and conducts a retrospective. The process repeats for the next sprint.
