overview
Reporting allows you direct access to various best practice dashboards and agile metrics in a single location. Visibility into program, release, iteration and team health and progress is readily available. Metrics such as burndown charts and velocity are used throughout the life of a project to coordinate how much work should be planned in a release and/or sprint. Teams and management use information in various reports to make decisions and take corrective action if necessary to ensure the project keeps moving forward.

Types of Reports

  • Dashboard reports provide a summary of the history and current status of a given project or iteration sprint all in a single view.

  • Summary Reports present an executive level summary of the selected project or program. These report pages display a combination of two views. The first is a distribution table that shows a rollup of the key workitems and progress against the estimates for the selected level and each of its components. Use this summary table to understand the progress the team has made to date. The second part contains a time line of the project in gantt chart format, which provides a comparison of the percentage completion of the team's progress versus it's remaining time. Use the time line charts to get a high level picture of plans and progress across the selected context. The bar for each project shows the total length of the project. The progress indicator within each bar shows the percentage of completed features. There is also a time indicator that shows the current day within the time line.

  • Quicklist reports provide a simple, flexible, yet powerful method to generate a customized report of assets from our system. These lists can be customized to show only the data attributes you wish to see. They can also be filtered to show only the specific assets that you want to include.

  • Roadmap reports show how scope is being delivered over the course of time. Use the Roadmap reports to view plans and progress through the sprint schedule. The values shown in these reports are rollups of the backlog item and/or defect estimate and apply to the project selected in the project context list.

  • Velocity reports show the speed of the development team as it works through the sprint schedule. The velocity is simply the amount of backlog item and/or defect estimate that a team delivers in an sprint. A team's velocity should stabilize over time and will be a good predictor of future performance. In cases where the project team makeup or the sprint length varies over time, the velocity will become a less accurate guide.

  • Burndown reports show the progression of a team through a set of work. The reports display a series of snapshots of the remaining and completed work. The remaining work appears to 'burn down' as the team completes more and more over the set of time viewed.

  • Trend reports display general trends and changes over the course of time. Use trend reports to understand the differences introduced over the course of time.

  • The Scope Change report is an exception report that looks through the audit history and highlights changes to scope. Use the scope change to highlight issues such as scope creep and to understand the specifics in any total estimate changes highlighted in the Estimate Trend report.

  • Member reports summarize work activities and history by team member. Use these reports to help understand and evaluate the status and contributions made by individuals.
