Updating a Workitem's Effort/To Do in a TeamRoom

This feature is available in Enterprise and Ultimate editions.

Follow these steps to learn how to log or update "effort" or "to do" in a TeamRoom.


  1. From the main menu, choose:

    • Team > TeamRooms

    • On the Utility Bar, click the Rooms icon Rooms_icon.png followed by TeamRooms.

  2. Click a TeamRoom name and choose one of the following:

    • Click Storyboard to track work at the workitem level

    • Click Taskboard to track work at the task level

    • Click Testboard to track work at the test level

  3. Click the vertical ellipsis at the top-right corner of a workitem tile and click Track.

  4. Add necessary information in the pop-up window and click Save.

  • To simplify the list of workitems displayed, click on a team member's avatar to filter by team member.
  • With the "Track" option on the Task/Testboard, effort can be specifically allocated to a task owner. Refer to Changing Effort (Done) Values for information on backdating effort.
