Where are all the Logs for Agility?

There are 3 setup logs

  1. the Agility setup log file
  2. the Analytics setup log file (If you have Ultimate edition)
  3. the Data Mart setup log file. (If you have Ultimate edition)
  • The Agility setup log file is located on the web server hosting Agility. The file name is setup.log and it can be found in C:\ProgramData\VersionOne\Setup.

  • The Analytics setup log file is located on the web server hosting Analytics. The file name is setup.log and it can be found in C:\ProgramData\VersionOne\Analytics.

  • The Data Mart setup log file is going to be on the machine hosting the Data Mart ETL. The file name is setup.log and it can be found in C:\ProgramData\VersionOne\DatamartLoader

A few items to note:

  • C:\ProgramData is hidden by default. Therefore you need to type this part of the directory into the Address bar in Windws Explorer or copy and paste the folder location.
  • If you are running an older version of Windows (i.e. Windows server 2003), C:\ProgramData does not exist. In this case, replaced C:\ProgramData with C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data.

For Datamart, there is also the dataloader log. It is located in the same folder as the Data Mart ETL (VersionOne.DatamartLoader.exe). The ETL folder is located under C:\Program Files\VersionOne\ in a folder that is named for your Agility  instance. By default the ETL folder name is { Agility instance name} to { Agility instance name}-datamart.

Then there are Exception logs. They can be found in the following directory on the typical web server:

  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VersionOne\Exceptions

On a Windows 2008 web server, it is typically found at:

  • C:\ProgramData\VersionOne\Exceptions

Those are ALL the logs created, generated, or maintained by the Agility application. There are NO others.
