Setting Up Slack Push Notifications

Overview

With the Slack integration, you can send push notifications for all your VersionOne subscriptions directly to Slack. For those who don't leave their email open all the time, this eliminates the need to enable email notifications in your VersionOne account.

In order to use the Slack push notifications, you must have active subscriptions. If you do not, the Slack push notifications will not trigger.

Configuring the Slack integration is a two-step process, as described below.

Step 1. Configure an Incoming Webhook in Slack

  1. Open Slack, and click on your name, and then select Apps & Integrations.

  2. Click Manage on the browser page that opens.

  4. Click Add Configuration.

  5. Choose a channel or direct message (such as yourself) to Post to, and then click Add Incoming Webhooks Configuration.
