How do I determine if a license is in use?

This feature is available in all editions.

What determines if a user has the license box checked in the application? If I provide a read/only role to a member account, would this still require a license?

Answer

A license is used for any user when an username is stored in the user record. The only exclusions are:

  • The default admin account that was initially provided when the system was setup

  • If a member account has been made inactive

Beyond these, every member, regardless of role, consumes a license. If you are bumping up against license limits, or have questions regarding additional license(s) needed, contact VersionOne Support.
