This feature is available in Enterprise and Ultimate editions.

Because terminology (Scrum, XP, DDSM, etc.) varies across the industry, you can configure Lifecycle to use the terms specific to your organization. This article explains how to customize (or localize) the the terms used for assets throughout the system.

Where to Find Asset Labels

Asset labels are primarily found in buttons (Add Story, Add Issue).  However, they may also appear as titles on grids and on details pages.

Changing the Timebox Asset Label also changes the Navigation label for Iteration Planning and Iteration Tracking (aka Sprint Planning and Sprint Tracking)

Steps

  • To make changes on the Terminology page, your Admin Privileges role must be set to "System Administrator".
  1. Go to Admin > Configuration > Terminology.

  2. For each term you want to change, click in the Label cell and type the new singular term.

  3. Press Tab key or click in the Plural Label cell, and update the new plural term.

  4. Click Save.

In the Spring Release 2016 (16.1), the terminology override and units of measure options were moved to a new page in the Administration section called, "Terminology". In versions prior to 16.1, these options are located on the Configuration tab.
