Adding Members to a Team

This article provides instructions on how to enable and manage the Teams feature in Lifecycle.
 

Overview

Members are not explicitly assigned to a team.

Steps

Backlog Items are assigned to a team during Release Planning or Sprint Planning. When members are assigned to any of those backlog items, they are effectively assigned to the team. This allows members to do work for a team without the overhead of team member administration, as people frequently “help out” other teams, move from one team to another, etc.

Here's how it works:
  • A backlog item is assigned to a team > A member is assigned to the backlog item > The member becomes a part of the team

  • A backlog item  is assigned to a sprint/iteration > The backlog item is assigned to a team > A member is assigned to the backlog item > The member becomes a part of the team
