Generating a Story from an Issue

  1. From the main menu, select Product Planning > Issues.

  2. Select an issue, and then expand the Edit drop-down menu on the right of the grid.

  3. Choose the Generate Story option. The Story pop-up window opens, populated with all defined Issue details.

  4. Make the necessary changes (e.g., add the new story to a sprint, portfolio item, or theme, assign an owner, define an estimate), and then click Save. The system creates a new story and inserts it at the bottom of the Backlog grid with a unique ID beginning with "S".

Note that you can generate multiple stories for each issue.
