Background

When planning a project not all the our developers are available 100% of the time during every sprint (e.g. vacation, out of the office, etc.). How do I incorporate this into the release forecasting to get a more accurate forecast?

Answer

In VersionOne, you cannot directly incorporate team member schedules into a project.

As a workaround, you can go to Capacity Planning and decrease the team member's capacity so they are not over assigned. For example, if a person's normal workload is 40 points/hours, you could decrease it to 32 points/hours if they have a day off in the week. That way, those hours will not be reflected in your release forecast.
