Follow these steps to generate a new story/backlog item from an existing issue and associate a work item.
- Generating a story from an issue establishes a new relationship between the items.
- You can generate multiple stories for each issue.
From the main menu, select Product Planning > Issues.
From the Edit drop-down menu, choose Generate Story (or Generate Backlog Item). The Story pop-up window opens, populated with all defined Issue details.
Make the necessary changes, and then click Save. The new story is added to the the bottom of the Backlog grid with a unique ID beginning with "S".
