Approving Timesheets (Managers Only)

This feature is available in Enterprise and Ultimate editions.

Overview

If you are a manager, you can approve timesheets following the steps below.

Steps

  1. Click on the Timesheet icon in the left Sidebar.

  2. Select a member from the Switch Member drop-down list. The Pending Approval section shows the list of members with timesheets awaiting approval.

  3. Review the hours, and then click Submit.

  4. After the Manager hits Submit, you will see the Approve function.

  6. Click Approve and you are all set! You have the option to cancel the approval also.

Once approved, the team member cannot edit the timesheet for that week. If edits are required, then the manager will need to cancel the approval. This will make it available for edits again. The process above will need to be repeated in order to approved the timesheet.

Recent Changes

  • The ability to submit and approve timesheets was added in the Winter 2017 (17.0) release. It is not available in older versions of Lifecycle.
  • The Timesheet icon was added to the Sidebar menu in the Summer 2017 (17.2) release. The Sidebar is not available in older versions of Lifecycle.
